Cristin and I slept well. We got up and made breakfast and got on the trail by 9:30 so not a super early start but we only had 6.5 mi to go and mostly down hill. It was nice to be hiking down and know we got to stay overnight in a hotel with showers and hot springs! I also was very excited to see Casey! Yeah!!!! We hiked down to a road that went up to Mt Princeton. From then on it was a road walk first on dirt road then to black top to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. We had fun with taking Picts of ourselves along the road with our dogs. I always see those people with their backpacks and dogs walking down the road and wonder where they are going- now for a shirt minute I was one of them.
We got to Mt Princeton and waited on Casey by the entrance like the hiker loafers that we were as fancy cars drive by we lounged under a cedar tree. We needed the pick up before we could get in the hot springs to put the dogs in or tie them to. So Casey got there 20 min later and -and yes he’s still handsome…..and boy did he smell good too! We did not. So we got checked into the cabin and despite being smelly and dirty we went to eat as it was 1pm. One green chilie burger and a local tap beer from Buena Vista later I was feeling very full and sleepy. So Casey and I sat on the couch and watched the Broncos play KC. What a nice afternoon. After the game finished we went to sit in the hot springs and wait for Cristin to get done with her massage. Then it was time for round two of eating and I had a celebratory Dinner of Salmon. Yum! Sleep was next as I was almost sleep walking by then. Heather arrived sometime in the middle of the night. Kemba, in the pickup that night, of course barked at her.
