Our beef is raised in southeast Colorado and finished at our family feedlot in southwest Baca County. In 2009 we saw a need for a high quality and affordable beef product, and began marketing our beef directly to the consumer. We know exactly what they goes into each animal – which means so do you!
Our beef comes from Corriente cattle, which are very well suited for the landscape of southeast Colorado. They are thrifty and efficient animals with mature cows weighing 850 to 900 pounds. This means they grow more slowly; a process that consistently creates tender and flavorful steaks that are not oversized. The cattle on are typically on grass until 60-75 days prior to harvest. And produce approximately 250 lbs of beef per animal.
Our beef is antibiotic and hormone free, and the hamburger is processed to be consistently 90% lean or greater. All of our beef is processed at a USDA inspected plant for your safety and confidence. Beef is vaccum packed for quality and longevity of the product. We arrange delivery with you and typically bring the product to you.
